Hi I’m Dr. Kimberly Richards

I’m not your average therapist. I can be blunt, direct, and even curse a bit at times, but my clients describe me as warm, compassionate, and accepting. In therapy, we discuss how your past experiences

impact your present relationships and interactions and how this holds you back from connecting with your authentic self and the future you desire. While this may mean diving into painful parts or slowly dipping toes into them, the pace is set by you. I will meet you where you are and walk side-by-side with you through this journey. Sometimes, there are tears, but oftentimes, there is laughter coupled with deep understanding and growth.

Connecting the dots and understanding how you got to this point in your life helps with changing where you are. Are you ready to transform?

You deserve to feel empowered in changing your own life.

You’re in the right place.

I understand that this process is hard and even taking the first step can be overwhelming and intimidating. You know that life doesn’t have to feel the way that it does today but you’re not quite sure how to start creating the change that you ultimately want.

Working together, we will map out your unique path to healing. My integrative approach focuses on the connections between the mind, body, and spirit. I’m trained in multiple therapy methods that allow us to draw from different disciplines in order to help you reach your goals. Nothing we do is cookie cutter.

We will take a very personalized approach to meeting your needs and creating the change that you are looking for. My clients enjoy building and mastering skills during our sessions that they put into practice in everyday life.

A bit about working together

Our work together will be informed by your goals, these are examples of some of my methods as a therapist

EMDR

EMDR supports your brain’s natural innate ability to heal from the past. Eye movements activate this healing and allow lasting change in how you relate to yourself and the world around you.

Psychodynamic

We all have relationships and part of therapy is understanding how these impact us. By exploring what’s not working and why, we can move towards healthier and happier interactions with others.

Integrative

Overall wellness is more than feeling good. It’s about feeling good in mind, body and spirit. Incorporating small changes in movement., nutrition, and lifestyle allows you to grow in a more confident and holistic way.

Your Goals

Utilizing therapeutic approaches in conjunction with your goals allows for a collaborative process to best meet your specific needs. It requires your input and effort with guidance from me to move forward in your best life.
